About Us

  • The club was founded in the summer of 2015 with the aim of creating a base for canoeists in the Lucan area at Lucan Demesne in order to complement the recent upgraded facilities of the Sluice and also to promote continued participation in kayaking and to provide further opportunities for personal kayak skills development
  • The club generally focuses on general purpose / recreational kayaking and endeavours to run regular trips throughout the year for members. It also aims to offer training courses in kayak skills and safety.  It is envisaged as the club develops to cater for other disciplines such as slalom, marathon and sprint racing and canoe polo.
  • The long term goal is to provide a club house with changing/showering facilities and storage for equipment in Lucan Demesne
